Welcome to Worcestershire County Council website for grants to voluntary and community organisations.

The second round of the Worcestershire County Council’s grant giving scheme for Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations has now arrived. Almost £1.2 million is available for both Strategic and Community Grants in the following areas:

Strategic (3 years):

Community Transport	£765,000
Older People’s Services	£352,257

Community (1 year):

Celebrating Cultural Diversity	£10,000
Carers Grants	£11,000
Community Based Activity for Older People	£27,325

Please note: The deadline for all applications is 4pm on Friday 31^st October 2008.

The VCS Unit is running three information sessions around the county where organisations can find out more about the grants. Grant Leads will be on hand to provide further information to prospective applicants and Worcestershire Infrastructure Consortium will have a member present at each event to provide support with application filling and information on services they provide.

The events will be taking place as follows:

Monday 22nd September, 2-4pm, Worcester - Perdiswell Young People's Centre
Tuesday 23rd September, 10am-1pm, Wyre Forest - Kidderminster Town Hall
Thursday 25th September, 10am-1pm, Wychavon - Pershore Civic Centre

Organisations wishing to apply for grants relating to Older People (Strategic and Community) and Equality and Diversity, must attend the events on 22nd or 23rd September. Information on Community Transport will be available on all three dates.
