Climate Change Strategy

Worcestershire County Council is working with other key local organisations to develop a Climate Change Strategy for the County. Click here to find out more about the strategy and what you can do to help try and reduce the impacts of climate change.

Sustainability Policy

Worcestershire County Council's Sustainability Policy  (32.84 KB) was adopted by the Council in March 2006. The policy commits the council to integrating the principles of sustainability into all of our work, to improve quality of life for all of the County's diverse communities.

Sustainability Action Plan

The aim of the Sustainability Action Plan  (429.08 KB) is to address gaps and areas of concern identified in the areas below.

1 -Corporate Sustainable Development

Ensuring sustainable development is promoted at a strategic level within the authority.

2 -Internal Sustainability Performance

Improving the social, ethical and environmental impact of the Council’s activities  - are we practising what we preach?

3 -Promoting Sustainable Development in the wider Community

Ensuring sustainable development is promoted throughout the County

Our biggest challenge as a Council is to take an idea that seems abstract – sustainable development – and turn it into a daily reality for the staff of the County Council, the people of Worcestershire and the rest of the world
