18th January 2009 Sunday 11.00am – 3.00pm Working Party

Burn off those Christmas calories by joining in some of the winter tasks such as coppicing the willow beds. Bring a packed lunch to supplement the spuds which we will attempt to incinerate in the fire! Adults and children over 8 yrs. Advanced booking essential. No charge

8th February 2009 Sunday 2.00pm -4.00pm Day of the Dinosaurs

Stories of dinosaurs, dragons and rocks that talk. Make your own casts of fossils and pictures of scenes when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

29th March 2009 Sunday 11.00am – 3.00pm Recycling and Composting Open Day

An array of displays, exhibits and hands on activities on the themes of recycling and composting. Meet the experts, become a worm in the giant compost bin and join in the race to recycle.

26th April 2009 Sunday 2.00pm – 4.00pm Easter Trail

A children's Easter Trail in the grounds of Bishops Wood, looking for the missing pieces of a puzzle. Discover the secrets of the animals and plants of Bishops Wood.

10th May 2009 Sunday 2.00pm - 4.30pm Bluebell Walk

Join us on a guided walk through our glades of blue as far as the eye can see. Learn more of the natural history and folklore of one of the nation’s favourite plants. An annual favourite.

14th June 2009 Sunday 2.00pm - 4.30pm Musical Picnic at Bishops Wood

Stroll around the woodlands, glades and wildflower meadows and discover music composed or chosen for the settings and performed by musicians from Worcestershire Schools. Bring a picnic if you wish.

4th July 2009 Saturday 10.00am – 3.0pm Eco-Festival

Join in our celebration of sustainability. Enjoy talks, displays, games, performances, art galleries, sustainable food and much more, in an amazing festival atmosphere, The culmination of a series of Eco-Schools events.

For most events the suggested donation is £3 per adult and £1 per child.

Members of Friends of Bishops Wood and their immediate families pay £2 per adult and children free.
