Welcome to the Worcestershire County Council Planning Service
The County Council’s Planning Service is based at County Hall, Worcester and is responsible for:
- Minerals and Waste - The preparation, monitoring and review of the Worcestershire County Minerals and Waste Development Framework.
- Development Control - Processing County Planning Applications in connection with Waste, Minerals and the County Council’s own development.
- Strategic Planning - Advises the Regional Planning Body on the Sub Regional issues that affect Worcester and ensure that Development Plan Documents conform with the West Midlands Regional Spatial Strategy and assist in the co-ordination and preperation of other strategies and policies within the County to deliver sustainabale development.
- Environmental Policy - Specialist advice relating to landscape and ecological policy and biodiversity. Historic Environment
