• There is no minimum wage for children of compulsory school age.
• They must have 2 weeks rest from their employment during the course of the year.
• The above rules do not apply for bona fide work experience placements set up and monitored by Connexions or the High School.
• A child must have a work permit for every employment (if they have two jobs they need two work permits).
• The work permits are issued free of charge.
