Your Council has chosen to focus on four key priorities for 2008-2011. Over the next three years we will be working to meet a number of objectives which will ultimately build a better future for the district.

The focus for improvement will be on:

• Economic Prosperity,
• Planning for the Future,
• Children and Young People,
• Managing Waste for a Better Environment.

In practical terms this means that:

• More money will go towards delivering economic prosperity, encouraging new business growth and, by providing visitors with a 21^st century service, encouraging them to stay longer and spend more locally.
• More money will go towards speeding up planning applications and for enforcing planning regulations.
• More money will go towards to ensuring children and young people are purposefully active and contribute to the community
• More money will go towards increasing recycling and reducing the penal costs of landfill for local communities.

Your Council is also a key member of the Malvern Hills Partnership and together with other community groups and local businesses, the council will be working on a number of projects designed to improve and enhance the district. Our Future Together    (8.24 MB) is the Full Sustainable Community Stategy set out by the group. This document explaines the key priorities and central themes that will be focused on, as well as how the group will work together to achieve them.
