We recognise that information is one of this Council's most vital and strategic assets.  The introduction of the above Acts has made managing information both a business priority and a legal obligation that demand our attention.

At Malvern Hills District Council we believe that properly organising and maintaining records and information, in paper and electronic formats is key to our continued success. The ability to identify, organise, maintain, and access needed information and to properly dispose of the rest, pays off in terms of cost savings, efficiency and regulatory compliance.

• Did you know that under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have certain rights of access to information held about you?
• Did you know that we already make a lot of information available to the public via our Publication Scheme?
• Did you know that under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, anyone can request any information held by us and that we have to provide it within 20 working days unless an exemption applies?
