   Tourism Officer

 

 

Strategic Tourism Development   Support the visitor economy across the Malvern Hills district. Develop Work to agreed strategies within the tourism action plan and upgrade plan as appropriate.

 
Tourism Business Support   Support new and established tourism businesses in becoming accredited to national quality schemes. Organise and run district grant schemes to support businesses. Organise tourism forums and networking meetings with accommodation providers and attraction providers.

 
Tourism Promotion   Work closely with Destination Worcestershire in promoting Malvern regionally and nationally.  Encourage a wider overnight stay market through promotions and advertising such as the Visitor and Attractions Guide.

 
Town Centre Support and development of the voluntary sector.   Work with local chambers and supporting agencies to develop town centre civic enhancement schemes. Establish and develop voluntary networks so as to maintain services within the towns.

 
Markets/ Events/ Fundraising   Organise and promote markets and festivals across the three towns. Create opportunities for town centres to generate greater footfall at regular points during the year.
