Housing Grants

  1. Disabled Facilities Grants. These are available for works necessary to enable a disabled person to live comfortably in their home. The grants are means tested and are subject to support from an Occupational Therapist. The maximum grant is £30,000 and is available for works such as stairlifts, shower facilities and ramps etc.
  2. Home Repair Grants. A grant for small scale works with a normal maximum of £5,000. This is available, subject to resources, to anyone with a gross annual income of £13,500 or less and with savings of less than £16,000.

N.B. All Home Repair Grants are subject to the availability of resources and for those in paragraph 2 above there is a very long waiting list. Further information on both grants can be obtained by contacting the Worcestershire Home Improvement Agency.

Full details of the above grants can be found by reading the Discretionary Housing Assistance Policy.
