We published our first full-page 'Advertorial' in two of our
local papers - the Malvern Gazette and the Tenbury Advertiser
- in November 2011. The aim of this publication is to
keep our residents informed of council work including providing
updates on specific projects. The feature covers everything
from business news to the car parking consultation undertaken
in the autumn. The latest copy was published
in March 2012 and covers a range of topics
including the Olympic Torch, Diamond Jubilee
celebrations and the make over for Rose Bank Gardens.

Publications audit – update on View from the Hills residents’
magazine
During summer 2011, a survey of our residents’
magazine, View from the Hills, looked into how we communicate with
both residents and stakeholders and it has yielded some
useful results. The survey was sent to residents who
currently subscribe (print or electronic versions), partners,
district and parish councillors and staff - many thanks to everyone
who took the time to complete the questionnaire.
We have taken the decision to suspend the
magazine for the time being and explore other communications
opportunities including the quarterly advertorial feature in local
papers as above, our website, social media platforms and using
special events to promote our work.
